Help! I am doing Keto and It’s the end of the day and I have not had enough fat intake.

When you are eating following a keto diet you know that getting to your macros can sometimes be a challenge. We all have those days where it’s just too hard to reach your daily fat intake. This problem is worse when doing Keto along side with Intermittent Fasting (IF) and eating fewer meals a day!

Now for a

FAT BOMBS!

I first discovered fat bombs when watching Keto Connect on YouTube, you can watch the exact video here.

There are a load of recipes online and you can tweak them to make them just right!

What are fat bombs?

Keto fat bombs are small snacks or treats that are high in fat and low in carbs (so, literally a fat bomb) that you eat as a quick meal, as a snack, as a pre- or post- workout snack, or as extra fuel during your day.

Most people think that Fat Bombs are always sweet like deserts, but your can also make savoury ones with oil, bacon and cheese! Hell yeah baby!

Here is one we made recently:

Recently made Neapolitan Fat Bombs which were a little more on the complex side as you need to mix three colours and wait for each layer to set. They do look great but the effort might not be worth it if you are busy busy. You can find the recipe here

On a more simpler side are these Cocoa Powder and Coconut oil fat bombs with macadamia nuts and berries. That’s all the ingredients and you just add as much as you like. Pop them in the fridge and eat them when you need.

Ray’s Keto Tip: Don’t add the fake sweeteners, many of these recipes ask you to add fake sweeteners, no one really knows what these fake sugar impostors are doing to our body long term, it was not long ago where smoking was recommended by doctors as being healthy. (not even kidding) So my advice is just skip them and add berries to make it sweeter. Over time you will get over the “Sweet Fix” you are craving.

A quick google for “fat bombs” will return 1000’s of ideas and recipes, or check out this list of 24 or this list of 60!

Get in the kitchen, get creative and let’s get your keto on!
